Worker Chic

Another week, another work outfit. I’ve been wearing this black and white sweater to work – a few too many times. It’s so Chanel-esque, no? There is something so classic about a black and white combination, that you just can’t go wrong. Especially paired with pointy toe heels (my DSW score, which I’ve been wearing (just about) everyday.

Tis the Season

Hello, hello my friends! This holiday season has me feeling jolly and full, and so the only remedy is a peplum top to keep my silhouette streamlined. You know how I feel about peplum…(love letter here)

I absolutely love this time of year. While I’m incredibly busy at work (and hence the lack of blog posts as of lately), everyone’s a little nicer and the city looks a bit brighter. This weekend Josh and I celebrated Thanksgiving with his family, and I have so much to be thankful for this year. So many new beginnings!

Corporate Mondays

Top - James Perse | Skirt ℅ Eshakti (custom fit!) |Tights - Hue | Heels -Guess | Bracelets - Julie VosInPink | Jacket – Hinge (similar) | Purse – Mary Nichols

One of my favorite corporate outfits is a pencil skirt and neutral top (as you can see last year here). I prefer to match my tights to my top, when possible, to bring the whole look together. Josh and I snapped these photos just this morning, bright and early, before heading to the office. It’s a Monday, and there’s nothing better than moody colors like black and blue to match it.

Business Casual

Top – Forever 21 (similar here) | Pants – Zara | Shoes – Steven | Bag- Koret

Get ready for lots of business casual posts. I am officially a working girl! While my office is technically casual (some people wear jeans), my mom always says, “Dress for success”. So I keep it professional and sophisticated. I love these pants because they are a trouser material, but skinny fit. What’s your favorite business casual look?

Dress c/o Lulus.com | Purse – Lulus.com | Booties – Similar here | Coat – Via Spiga (similar here) | Bracelets – InPink, David Yurman, Forever21

It’s Friday and I’m celebrating tonight with this sequin number from Lulus.com. Being on the shy side, I’m not usually one to seek out attention by wearing head to toe sequins. But as a girly girl in NYC, the glamorous side is bound to come out once in a while, whether in the form of sequins or sparkles. If you’re too shy to try a silver sequin dress, try something a little more subtle like champagne sequins, or sparkle just on the bodice, or on a bow.
