Hello, hello my friends! This holiday season has me feeling jolly and full, and so the only remedy is a peplum top to keep my silhouette streamlined. You know how I feel about peplum…(love letter here)
I absolutely love this time of year. While I’m incredibly busy at work (and hence the lack of blog posts as of lately), everyone’s a little nicer and the city looks a bit brighter. This weekend Josh and I celebrated Thanksgiving with his family, and I have so much to be thankful for this year. So many new beginnings!
Top - James Perse | Skirt ℅ Eshakti (custom fit!) |Tights - Hue | Heels -Guess | Bracelets - Julie Vos, InPink | Jacket – Hinge (similar) | Purse – Mary Nichols
One of my favorite corporate outfits is a pencil skirt and neutral top (as you can see last year here). I prefer to match my tights to my top, when possible, to bring the whole look together. Josh and I snapped these photos just this morning, bright and early, before heading to the office. It’s a Monday, and there’s nothing better than moody colors like black and blue to match it.

Get ready for lots of business casual posts. I am officially a working girl! While my office is technically casual (some people wear jeans), my mom always says, “Dress for success”. So I keep it professional and sophisticated. I love these pants because they are a trouser material, but skinny fit. What’s your favorite business casual look?
Sweater c/o Lulus.com | Leggings – Yummie Tummie | Tank Top – Michael Lauren | Booties – Zara (similar) | Hat – Zara (similar) | Bracelets – Julie Vos (Monogram, Rope) | Bag c/o Koret
This Lulus.com sweater has been my uniform as of late. It’s warm, cozy, and so perfect for the Fall weather. Sometimes heavy sweaters are an investment, so I like to purchase ones in neutral tones so I know I’ll get more use of them. Anyway, the colors match the Autumnal season!
I am sorry for the sporadic posting lately. To be totally honest, I’ve needed a break. Sometimes I wonder why I blog; why I post my private life on the Internet, take pictures, and take away my own free time. But then I remember I have a place to look back on and remember things I would otherwise forget, the best days and otherwise insignificant moments included. And it keeps me inspired to take pictures, to dress my best, and to bake Josh delicious treats. So, all the positives beat out the negatives by far.
