This past weekend I went apple picking with my family in New Jersey. It was the perfect escape from stressy law school. Climbing trees with my brother made me feel like a little kid again. In the spirit of fun, we picked way too many to possibly eat. So I decided to make a couple of apple pies. I followed this recipe for the most part, but baked at 350 degrees the entire time, brushed on milk, and sprinkled sugar and cinnamon on the crust 10 minutes before the pies were ready. To top it off, we added vanilla bean ice cream for a warm to cold sensation.

This looks delicious!I just made an apple pie on Saturday after a day of apple picking. It is my favorite fall treat!

Yum, yum, yum! My favorite thing about apple pies is how easy they are to make. If you have yummy orchard apples, you really don’t need much else! Glad to hear your weekend with the fam was exactly what you needed! xo

I had my first apple pie slice when I went to New York last year and I have been obsessed ever since. I always thought it might be a bit complicated to make (and I am a disaster baker) but this looks manageable… and absolutely delicious! Yum!
